Where is the SolarBot installed?

SolarBot is typically installed right next to your inverter. It connects directly to the communication port, allowing it to act as the intelligence layer for your home energy system.

How does the installation process work?

A certified Plentify partner will visit your home to securely connect SolarBot to your inverter and link it to your home WiFi.

Do I need a SolarBot for each inverter?

If you are using independent inverters, each with its own battery, you will need a SolarBot for each inverter. Please note SolarBot currently does not support configurations where two inverters are connected in parallel.

What inverters are compatible with SolarBot?

SolarBot works with the following inverters:

• Sunsynk/Deye single phase (Sizes: 5, 8, 10, 16 kW)
• Sunsynk/Deye three phase (Sizes: 12, 50 kW)
• SunGrow single phase (Sizes: 6, 10kW)

What happens after I subscribe for a SolarBot through this website?

Once you have placed your order, you will receive an email with a personalised link to book your installation. Simply select a convenient date and time for the installation, and an accredited partner will arrive with the device and install it for you.

How do I register my SolarBot on the Plentify Home App?

Simply visit my.plentify.io to create your account. Once logged in, you can register your device by entering the SolarBot ID found on your starter guide or the device itself, or you can scan the QR code on the device.

What should I do if I cannot find my SolarBot ID?

You will receive a starter guide for SolarBot on installation day that will show you your SolarBot ID. You can also find the ID on the inside corner of the SolarBot, below the QR code on the device.

What is the warranty for SolarBot?

SolarBot comes with a 1 year warranty, covering any defects or issues that arise within the first year of use.

Can I cancel my subscription? What if I move houses?

The service continues on a month-to-month basis, and you can cancel anytime with 1 month notice. If you want to cancel within the initial 24 months term, you will be liable for a R750 cancellation fee, to cover the cost of installation, removal, and refurbishment.

What happens to my inverter’s existing Wi-Fi dongle?

In most setups, SolarBot takes over the role of your existing dongle. Because SolarBot is an intelligent controller rather than just a monitor, it provides much deeper control and better optimisation than a standard WiFi logger.

Is SolarBot available in my area?
